Yesterday, the Year 5 pupils had the incredible opportunity to play with the Halle Orchestra at Derby Arena. We were treated to some fantastic pieces of classical music by the orchestra and then we got to join in with a few songs. The children have worked all year with Jo and Caroline (from Derbyshire Music Partnership) to learn how to play the violin and it was great to see how much they've clearly enjoyed their instruments at yesterday's performance. The children have also been learning about pulse, pitch, rhythm and structure and they showed this off when they sang alongside thousands of other children form different schools. 

What a great morning had by all!
