Miss Harrison is our French leader

At Shirland Primary School we use the Twinkl Planit Scheme to teach French from Year 3 to Year 6. The scheme supports all the requirements of the national curriculum and provides teachers with support for each year group in the school. 

Although the KS1 and EYFS framework do not specifically mention teaching a foreign language, many of the Early Learning Goals and KS1 aims support and develop the love of language.  This solid foundation then enables children to continue to explore language and, furthermore, learn a Modern Foreign Language (MFL).
