The governors and all the staff at Shirland are fully committed to providing the best possible educational opportunities for all of our children. 

We are very proud of the care, guidance and support that we offer our pupils. We aim to create a friendly, secure environment where the children are encouraged to learn academic, expressive and social skills that will enable them to develop into happy, independent, disciplined and self-motivated people.

Our school vision is to 'be the best you can be!'  and we achieve this by offering pupils a broad and balanced curriculum. They also have many opportunities to develop their personal and social values subsequently preparing them for adult life. The curriculum at Shirland Primary School promotes pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development and pupils have access to many additional events that promote British Values while preparing them for their futures.
