• Year 5 Art Day at David Nieper Academy

  Last Friday four of our Year 5 pupils had the opportunity to visit David Nieper Academy to take part in an exciting Art Day. During the day they worked alongside four other schools and the Art Teacher at the Academy, Miss Bingham. She guided them through the process of making a 3D pinch pot fish using clay. The children were really proud of their models and look forward to returning to the Academy to glaze their pots after they have been fired in the kiln.

  Jungle Jo brought her amazing rainforest animals to meet Year 3 this week. The children were very brave and some even overcame their fears. The children had the opportunity to hold a wide range of insects and reptiles, including a tree frog and a giant millipede called Maude. Two lucky (and brave) children had the chance to hold a tarantula! Please take a look at the pictures. It was a wonderful morning and the children learned so many exciting facts.
