Shirland Primary School Parents, Teachers and Friends Association aims to:

raise funds for the benefit of the children at this school

help out and organise events within the school

allow a greater involvement of parents and friends in School life

Guiding Principles:

Every parent or guardian with a child attending Shirland Primary School is a member of the PTFA and
is welcome at every meeting or event.

The PTFA Committee should be made up of a willing band of parents prepared to help in instigating, organising and supervising events which raise funds to benefit the children of Shirland Primary School.

Activities should have the prime aim of fundraising. We want the events to be enjoyable and sociable.

More hands make light work. The workload will be shared rather than leaving all of the organising to one person.

PTFA Meetings will be held within the school environment and will be purposeful and productive.
