In music lessons we use the Charanga model music scheme. We learn about songs from different genres and learn to perform using the glockenspiel to play musical notes. Our Charanga topics include:

• Musical structures
• Exploring feelings when you play
• Compose with your friends
• Expression and improvisation
• The show must go on

We also cover musical skills during our year 3 and 4 performance during spring term.

Children in year 4 also have the opportunity to take additional music lessons such as brass and Rocksteady.
