Two groups of year 5 pupils were fortunate enough to be invited to two special educational days at David Nieper Academy in Alfreton, one for science and one for art.
During the Science day, the pupils worked in small groups with others from local schools to create a model of a glider. one of our pupils participated in the winning group, whose glider flew the furthest.
The Art day revisited DNA through pinch pot creations, previously made and fired, which were then glazed on the day by the pupils. Their stylish creations will shortly be arriving in school for all to admire.
