On Saturday 9th November, members of staff, pupils and parents from Shirland Primary School took part in the British Heart Foundation sponsored swim, held at Alfreton Leisure Centre.
Individuals swam from 6 up to 50 lengths of the pool, based on their own abilities, to raise money for the charity. There was a positive vibrant atmosphere in the pool with everyone cheering on each other.
At the end of the swim, each person received a medal, certificate and a huge round of applause.
Well done to all pupils, parents and staff who took part.
